How exactly are you cutting red tape for me to list/share my own home?

Under old regulations, any homeowners seeking to share their home had to apply for a planning or building permit and pay whatever fee the local council charged for the type of permit required. Common planning application fees ranged from $90 to $384.

In our mission to ease the visitor accommodation process, we have completely eliminated fees for homeowners sharing their own residence of up to 4 bedrooms.

In instances where permits are required, the fees are capped at $250. Councils may continue to charge less, but cannot charge more than $250.
