Minor amendment made to State Planning Provisions and modifications made to Planning Directive No. 8 and Planning Directive No. 5.1
The Minister for Planning has made amendment 01-2021 of the State Planning Provisions (SPPs) as a minor amendment of the SPPs. The Minister made this decision after considering the advice of local councils, the Tasmanian Planning Commission and relevant State agencies and State authorities.

These planning directives include parts of the SPPs in the remaining interim planning schemes.

- clarifies provisions in the SPPs to assist with interpretation;
- removes inconsistencies within the SPPs and with other legislation; and
- inserts the provisions from Planning Directive No. 7 – Permits for Temporary Housing into the SPPs.
The modified Planning Directive No. 8:
- aligns the minor infrastructure and outbuildings exemptions with the amended SPPs;
- corrects clerical errors and removes inconsistencies in the General Residential Zone and Inner Residential Zone standards consistent with the amended SPPs; and
