Have your say - PlanBuild Tasmania fee type structure
The Tasmanian Government is seeking comment on the proposed PlanBuild Tasmania fee type structure.
The objective of PlanBuild Tasmania (PlanBuild) is to provide an online property development portal for all of Tasmania that facilitates the application and assessment process for planning, building, plumbing, and related public health applications.
The portal will be rolled out across Tasmania in 2021 and 2022, with full functionality of the portal delivered by late 2022.
To allow Councils to adopt PlanBuild, should they wish to do so, a fee type structure has been developed which comprises fees associated with the development approval functions available in PlanBuild.
The purpose of this structure is to provide consistency across municipalities as to the type of fee charged and how this is charged, but still provide flexibility for Councils to determine the actual amount charged.
The final PlanBuild fee type structure will be incorporated into portal functionality.
